) Figured it'd be a good way to kick off the new board design and show an Owner's spotlight doesn't need to follow the preset question format and have 4 word-answers (hint for people coming after me! ) He drives a mean stealth blue car, has a funny nickname, and is pretty wordy when it comes to his G8 (which makes a great read - I wish everyone wrote this much!). | Why were you looking for a new car? |
| Tami (my girlfriend) & I both went thru our divorces at right about the same time. When we got together, we decided to shop for a new car since we both came away from our respective divorces with sad excuses for transportation. |

| Why were you looking for a new car? |
| I started looking at cars around February of 08, when I was working in China for about a month. I was bored and only with two other English speaking people so I just started researching cars to help pass time, and happened to find the G8. It wasn’t confirmed yet but I knew it was a cool looking car with the power I wanted. |
| What other cars where you looking at when you purchased your G8? |

| What made you decide on the G8 in general? |
| The main reason I decided on the G8 was looks, I just loved the style and lines of the car and the big V8 under the hood help a little. When I finally saw one in person, I knew that the G8 was to car for me. |
| Why did you pick the color & options you did? |
| The first color I saw was Panther Black which looked amazing but already had a small scratch and I wanted to see some more colors. I went home and searched and find a few more dealerships. The first one didn’t have any on the lot, so it was off to the next. When I pulled in a saw a White Hot, with sunroof, and onyx interior, I didn’t need to see any more cars. |

| Why were you looking for a new car? |
| After graduating college, I purchased a very cheap commuter car (97 Mazda Protege) from a family friend since my Trans Am is really not the best for daily duty. The car ran well but looked like it had seen better days so I started looking for a new car. |
| What other cars where you looking at when you purchased your G8? |
| The G8 was really the only car in my price range I was interested in. The Charger was appealing but only in SRT8 form. |
| What made you decide on the G8 in general? |
| It was a new vehicle, great styling, impressive power, comfortable, and tons of interior/trunk room. |
| Why did you pick the color & options you did? |
| Since I had a feeling this would be a popular car and I wanted mine to stand out, I asked the dealer to locate me a car in Ignition Orange Metallic (IOM). I also requested the car have the sport package and sunroof. The dealer informed me they had the exact car coming in. |
| Looking back would you have picked differently? |
| Absolutely not. I would have considered waiting for the GXP but the initial pricing without incentives and lack of the IOM color made me decide to purchase the car when I did. |
