    Default 1970 Olds Cutlass SX Convertible - 455/TH400/PS/PB/PW/PTop/AC Deluxe Wheel/8track!

    Yep...time has come.

    Looking to sell my 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass SX Convertible.

    CA car, went to Florida then to Michigan.

    The car is currently in heated storage.

    The car is a great driver. Photo link at the end.

    1970 SX drop top
    Gold exterior
    Gold interior
    Power top
    Power brakes [disc front]
    Power windows
    Deluxe wheel
    Set of 5 "SSI" factory wheels
    A/C
    Power steering
    AM/FM/8-track
    Split bench seat with armrest - the driver side seating area was re-upholstered on the lower section with new material. The rest of the bench is original.

    Has an original 1970 Michigan license plate registered.

    Top was originally gold and a white top was added a few years ago.

    Correct numbers matching 455 2bbl engine and matching TH400 trans etc.

    49k miles. The car is straight and very, very clean underneath. I have no reason to doubt the mileage - it looks great.

    The car was tapped in the right rear quarter a number of years ago. Original metal was pulled and corrected. No patch panels welded. You can see when you open the trunk that the original metal was reshaped [NO BONDO] and they did a fairly good job in keeping the original metal. The body looks great and is solid.

    The car was repainted a few years ago [if not sooner] - looks great in gold.

    The original CA plate is on the front of the car. It was sold new at Bob Black Olds in Santa Ana, CA,

    There is a ground issue at the cluster that causes the fuel gauge to act odd when you turn on the lights. I have a replacement fuel gauge included that I purchased recently.

    I installed new taillights and gaskets and reverse lamp lenses.

    Some Pypes tips were cut down [stainless] and welded on since the originals could not be saved. Look like the factory correct tips.

    I have a new trunk mat and new hood insulation to replace the missing/torn originals. Trunk mat installed, hood liner is new in the package.

    I also have brand new stainless parking brake hardware [lines, hardware etc front to back] new in the box.

    SSI wheels and trim rings/caps are driver quality. I plan to order replacement center cap inserts for the SSIs to make them great and polish the stainless rings/trim.

    I replaced the washer fluid tank/filter/cap and I have a new correct battery tray to make the car back to factory spec.

    The AC would work, but a hose was damaged [coming off of the compressor]. I am trying to source a replacement.

    Recent tune up.

    VIN: 342670Z110445

    Cowl tag breakdown:

    70 = 1970 Model year
    3 = Oldsmobile
    42 = Cutlass Supreme
    67 = Convertible
    BF = Assembly at Fremont
    00245 = sequence number
    994 = Gold Vinyl Bench Seat
    58 = Lower Body: Burnished Gold
    H = Gold Top
    12A = Built first week in December 1969

    The carb and intake are also correct to the car. Original driveline / powertrain.

    Passenger side fender was replaced a long time ago. I had an Olds guy look at the car before, he noted the passenger side fender was a 72. No difference exterior wise, but had some marking in the wheel well to indicate 72.
